When I joined the band I was an idealistic 19 year old art student at Goldsmith’s College School of Art in New Cross, South London.
I began playing the piano when I was aged 7 – and for the next 7 years I was given harder and harder piano pieces to learn – Chopin, Durant, Lizt – until I finally began to question who I was working for – and the answer was definitely not “me”.
